Saxofolk is the Welsh artist/puppet maker Mari Jones‘ jazz-folk ceilidh band performing at functions, weddings, and parties in and around Edinburgh, Scotland. The band is fully equipped to deliver fabulous ceilidhs performing all the traditional ceilidh dance tunes with a unique twist – folk tunes go hand-in-hand with jazz standards in the sets whilst keeping perfect timing through classic dances such as the Gay Gordons. The band also plays beautiful improvised jazz standards and songs and can relax your guests during dinner or as the night darkens and the evening progresses. The current line up features a saxophone/caller, flute/singer, guitar and drums.
