Gender and Dengue

I am working with Tanzanian colleagues, Dr Opportuna Kweka and Dr Leonard Mboera, and Sri Lankan mental health specialist, Ms Nilushka Perera, to attract grant funding to study women’s role in urban environmental management for the control and prevention of dengue fever in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s largest city. Dengue is a mosquito-borne arboviral disease which is increasing significantly in East Africa and tropical regions of the world. Watch this space for further details!
